Paula Banks is a freelance fine art photographer based in the North Wicklow / South Dublin region.  She has always been interested in artistic pursuits and in recent times developed a passion for photography.

Born and bred in rural county Sligo, she has a strong connection to the rugged beauty of nature and the sea. This is evident in her work which aims to capture the beauty of her surroundings, be it the powerful energy of the sea, or the quiet strength of a lonely mountain.

In November 2008 Banks was awarded a licentiateship from the Irish Photography Federation (IPF) for her nature and landscape photography.
